In December 2025, our production Laravel application clipcraft.ro was compromised. Backdoors were planted. SEO spam directories appeared. We didn't know until it was almost too late.
It wasn't the first time. In the past, a similar attack had hit us on shared hosting—12 applications, 2 WordPress and the rest Laravel, all compromised by the same malware. One weak point, twelve infected sites.
Then it happened again in January 2026 to cetatean.ro. The cause? Vulnerable packages and neglected updates.
